The founder of Christian Science, including the Church of Christ, Scientist, Mary Baker Eddy, taught her followers that the way this Church grows is through healing. Since the growth of our churches requires Christian Scientists to actively heal others through Christ, what does it take to make that healing happen? What kind of consecration and spiritual transformation is required of our lives?

This chat is an opportunity for you to bring your questions to the Christian Science Board of Directors, who have been giving this subject much thought. The chat will be an honest conversation between the Board and chat participants, exploring together how we all can be better Christian healers.

About the Christian Science Board of Directors: The Christian Science Board of Directors has five members—each with an equal voice in overseeing both the Church’s long-term direction and day-to-day operations. The current members are: Robin Hoagland, Allison W. Phinney, Jr., Scott Preller, Margaret Rogers, and Lyle Young. All five board members are, first and foremost, Christian Science healers. That means they are all Christian Science practitioners, providing professional healing services to the public. Each is also a teacher of Christian Science.

Come to the Carlsbad-Vista Reading Room on Tuesday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m. and listen to the Board of Directors podcast with other church members, friends and visitors.   The title of this one hour question and answer interactive chat is  CONTINUING TO BUILD CHURCH–ON THE SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION OF CHRIST-HEALING.  There will be a one hour discussion immediately following the chat  facilitated by Alan Galt.  You are invited to bring a sack lunch and join the discussion from noon to 1:00 p.m. and please share this information with others.   The address is 135 Main Street in Vista.  We hope to see you there.
