Often joined on tour and on recordings by their friends, Trevor Mulvey on Upright Base, and Blake Armstrong on Drums.

No Church service this Sunday, but we will be open Saturday and Sunday for the Encinitas Street Fair April 27th and 28th, 2019

April 27th, 2019

The Reading Room will be open this weekend from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday and 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday during the Encinitas Street Fair.  Parking is tight so it might be a good time to take the train!  Come by and say hi if you can.

We will have a scavenger hunt called “The God’s name game” during the fair this Saturday and Sunday in our Garden where the kids search for the seven synonyms for God.

IMG_1236  In our textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy she defines God in the glossary as:

God. The great I AM; the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-acting, all-wise, all-loving, and eternal; Principle; Mind; Soul; Spirit; Life; Truth; Love; all substance; intelligence.

So we place the names: Principle; Mind; Soul; Spirit; Life; Truth; Love around the garden to be found by the seekers.  Come by and join the fun and when a prize .

This game is based on ideas taught in our Infinite Horizons Program which includes  Christian Science Sunday school.  For more information click Here  .

Cancer healed during pregnancy

April 17th, 2019

Prayer answered: The doctor told me I had a very aggressive form of cancer. Overcoming fear and expecting healing was key to the cure for cancer. God is love and fills all space!

This is a video example of what you might hear at a Christian Science Testimonial meeting.

Every Wednesday evening most Christian Science churches or Societies come together to hear and share how they were healed and their life made better through the application of Christian Science.

To find a Wednesday night church service in your area by Clicking here

“My life began to improve quickly after that and I became a healthy man after many years of suffering”. – This is an excerpt from a talk tomorrow, Sunday, April 14, 2019 at 1:00 PM

“…the perspective of God and reality that Christian Science opens up is one that offers freedom from whatever in our lives seems painful, debilitating, or limiting…”

When most people think about life-changing moments, they may not think

of a lecture on Christian Science. That wasn’t why I attended a lecture for

the first time; I didn’t expect to walk out a new person. But I found

something in that lecture that was indeed life-transforming. Christian

Science gave me a new view of God that I’d not had before: a view of God as

Love itself, divine Love that loved me fully. I also discovered that this

loving God was not the source of my troubles (which were many) but the

solution to them.

My life began to improve quickly after that and I became a healthy man

after many years of suffering.

There’s no question that I was jubilant about the way my life was being

transformed. But what impressed me the most was finding out that these

kinds of breakthroughs aren’t one-time, personal miracles. God’s love is

available to everyone, and there’s even a textbook on Christian Science

healing that explains the power of God’s love in our lives: Science and

Health with Key to the Scriptures.

What I’ve gone on to learn, and what I’ll share in my lecture, is that the

perspective of God and reality that Christian Science opens up is one that

offers freedom from whatever in our lives seems painful, debilitating, or

limiting. I’ll talk about a 19th-century woman, Mary Baker Eddy, who,

after a life-threatening injury, discovered this new view of God for herself

and went on to explain her discovery and its Bible-based principles in her

book Science and Health. And I’ll share how that discovery is still relevant

to our lives today because of what it reveals about God’s great love for

each of us and its powerful, life-transforming effects.
