5K, 10K & Costume Contest

Join in a celebration of the best town around! The course starts under the  “Encinitas” sign on historic HWY 101.  This scenic loop passes by the famous “Cardiff Kook” statue and some of the most popular surf breaks in the world.  INFO

 

Treasure Hunt Fundraiser!
Saturday, February 9, 8am-4pm
The Encinitas Historical Society will hold a Treasure Hunt Fundraiser at the 1883 Schoolhouse that will consist of donated vintage and antique pieces, art pieces, plants, other collectibles and memorabilia.  The public is invited to shop for rare finds at great prices!  The money raised at the Treasure Hunt will help fund new and exciting programs this year. For more info call 760-753-4834.

Families Make History: Craft Program
Month of February
Join in one of the oldest surviving crafts in the world!  Learn the basics of weaving on a rustic loom made of wood and nails, or cardboard, or for the younger set, on a paper plate loom.  No reservations needed and all materials are supplied.

Artists’ Reception at Off Track Gallery
Saturday, February 13, 4pm-7pm
The public is invited to an artists’ reception honoring Karen Fidel, pottery and Lynn Ely, Fiber arts.  Fidel uses wheel-thrown pottery then alters them by hand to add natural organic elements.  Ely focuses on line, form, texture and color in her pieces.  Wine and refreshments will be served at the reception.
